Belize Aggressor IV – Part 2

Belize Aggressor IV – Part 2

Our second excursion with Aggressor Fleet was aboard the Belize Aggressor IV and was just as fantastic as our first trip.  The week’s dive sites along the second largest barrier reef in the world included Julie’s Jungle, Eagle Ray Wall, Lighthouse Wall, Cathedral, Half Moon Caye Wall, Long Caye Wall, The Great Blue Hole, Quebrada, Aquarium, Black Beauty, and Amberhead South. All were incredible dives with beautiful reef, splendid soft and hard corals, magnificent sponge formations, and glorious marine life aplenty.

There were numerous spotted eagle rays and plenty of curious reef sharks throughout the week. We even had a grouper follow us around like a puppy for one entire dive. Night dives were always spectacular with more octopus then we’ve seen on any other trip. Two more firsts for us were the uncommonly sighted Whitelined Toadfish and the occasionally to rarely observed Whitespotted Toadfish only found in Belize.

The crew of the Belize Aggressor IV were wonderful and truly took care of everything we needed. Captain Dennis brought us to amazing sites while Engineer Simon kept the vessel running smoothly. Dive Master John and Instructor Mario kept us entertained and informed about the dive sites. Chef Jerry and Assistant Carlos kept us fed with an eclectic mix of tastes while Stewardess Elia made certain we had everything we needed throughout the week.

We made many new friends and enjoyed the week immensely. This is certainly a trip we look forward to making again in the future.

Stay tuned for our next adventure coming up in February as we return to Cozumel for diving and a wedding.
