We had so much fun and were so overwhelmed with the beauty of the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary during our trip for Mother’s Day that we decided to return again for Father’s Day weekend.
Once again the vessel and crew were fantastic and the weather was cooperative. The sanctuary was just as spectacular with visibility unlike anywhere else we have been fortunate enough to dive and wildlife was in abundance. During our dives we were treated to an acrobatic demonstration by a giant manta ray and a silky shark found Steve to be an interesting swimming companion while diving HI-389A Oil Platform.
During our dive on Stetson Bank we even made a scientific discovery, the first of its kind in the FGBNMS. Read more about it here.
The Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary is so vast that we will be able to dive it over and over again and see new things every time. It will never disappoint.
